Price stabilized Emirati dirham Against the pound today, Wednesday, December 10, 2025, according to the latest updates issued by a number of banks, the average price ranged between 12.91 and 12.95 pounds for purchase and 12.95 and 12.98 pounds for sale.
The stability of the price of the UAE dirham against the pound
In government banks such as the National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr and Cairo Bank, the price of the dirham stabilized at 12.92 pounds for purchase and 12.96 pounds for sale, while Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and First Abu Dhabi Bank recorded the highest price of the currency at 12.95 pounds for purchase and 12.98 pounds for sale.
As for the Bank of Alexandria and the Suez Canal Bank, it reached 12.91 pounds for purchase and 12.95 pounds for sale. Prices in exchange companies also stabilized within a narrow range ranging between 12.92 and 12.96 pounds, in light of a state of relative calm in the foreign exchange market.
The Central Bank withdraws liquidity from banks amounting to 103.350 billion pounds
The bank announced Central Al-Masry, withdrew liquidity from banks worth 103.350 billion pounds, yesterday, Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 9 banks, through open market bidding, at an interest rate of 21.5%, according to what was published on the bank’s official website.
This step comes within the framework of the Central Bank’s monetary policy aimed at managing surplus liquidity within the banking system and adjusting interest rates in line with the objectives of monetary policy.
