The security services at the Ministry of Interior revealed the circumstances of a video clip that was circulated on social media, which includes two people, including a police officer, firing gunshots in the air to celebrate the victory of a member of the House of Representatives in Minya.
Upon examination, it was revealed that the incident was true and that the aforementioned candidate and his sister’s son, a police officer, fired shots from two firearms, one of which was a licensed pellet gun, in celebration of his victory in the parliamentary elections.
Immediately, the two rifles were seized, legal measures were taken regarding the incident, and disciplinary measures were taken against the officer for violating the Ministry’s principles.
