Representative Ahmed Samir, a member of the Senate, confirmed that the government A package of reform policies and programs will continue to be implemented during the coming period to improve economic conditions and enhance growth rates, which will directly reflect on the quality of life of citizens.
In a special statement to Sada El Balad, Samir called for the need to focus on supporting productive sectors, encouraging local and foreign investment, and raising the efficiency of public spending, ensuring that resources are directed to priority sectors to achieve Egypt’s Vision 2030.
This came after Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting yesterday evening at the government headquarters in the new capital to review the vision of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and its work plan during the next three years, in the presence of Dr. Hussein Issa, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, and Dr. Ahmed Rostom, Minister of Planning and Economic Development.
The Prime Minister stressed that the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development plays a pivotal role in the work files of the Economic Group, and in formulating the economic direction of the Egyptian state in general.
Madbouly said that the recent period witnessed intense efforts to finalize the formulation of the state’s vision for the post-agreement phase with the International Monetary Fund, as the national narrative for comprehensive development was prepared with the participation of an elite group of experts and specialists.
