Preacher Abdullah Rushdi responded to the statements made by lawyer Nihad Abu Al-Qumsan, in which she said: “What is between you and God so that you are mentioned in every calamity? Check yourself because your name remains illuminated in all crimes of violence and hate.”

Rushdie said in a post on his Facebook page: Some righteous people prayed for me that God would make me a thorn in the throats of misguided people, and he saw in me a deviation from the Sunnah, so he prayed for me to establish me on the truth that pleases him in terms of his religion.

The Islamic preacher added: “The people of falsehood never opened a door except that God made me an arrow through which I could shoot their falsehood, and I have been a prisoner of this for almost fifteen years, and I do not pay attention to the riots of those who riot,” continuing: Rather, I devote my effort to defeating the people of falsehood, and clarifying the truth to those who seek it, and how many of their doubts we have dispelled, and praise be to God.

Rushdie concluded his post by saying: “This is what enrages them, so they try to throw my name into any calamity that might be associated with them and get rid of me, but, God willing, it will never be associated with them… This is my belief in God, and I ask God to put this in my budget, and not to cut off from me the blessing of reporting it, and to guide me and you to what He loves and is pleased with… Happy New Year.”
