
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, witnessed this evening the signing ceremony of the “Rixos and Rixos Living – World Trade Center in Cairo” project, between the World Trade Center – Cairo Company; And Rixos Hospitality Egypt Company for Hotel and Resort Management, in a move that represents the entry of the Rixos brand for the first time into the Cairo market through a branded hotel and residential concept.
The signing ceremony was attended by Sherif Fathi, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Eng. Hassan Al Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Nasser Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Latif Group, and Gaurav Bhushan, CEO of Innismore and the lifestyle and entertainment brands of Accor International; And a group of attendees. He signed the agreement; Eng. Ramadan Al-Wasti Al-Arnaouti, Managing Director of the World Trade Center Company – Cairo, and François Boudin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Rixos Hospitality Egypt for Hotel and Resorts Management.
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly stressed that the implementation of this prominent project with an important global partner in the field of hospitality enhances the efforts of the Egyptian state in optimally taking advantage of the promising components of the central Cairo area and exploiting its attractions, in a way that achieves the national goals aimed at boosting incoming tourist traffic, increasing the number of hotel rooms, and creating a distinctive experience for visitors.
François Boudin said: “This project is an important milestone in the continuous expansion of the Rixos brand in Egypt, the Middle East and North Africa, as it adds to its existing network of operating Rixos hotels and those under development, the most recent of which is the Rixos Sphinx Golf and Spa Resort.”
He added: “The project is scheduled to open in phases starting in 2027, to be the first Rixos property in the heart of the Egyptian capital, where the World Trade Center in Cairo, which represents one of the landmarks, will be redeveloped into a dynamic urban destination led by modern lifestyles, including the World Trade Center Mall. The project will provide a city-oriented “Rixos” experience that combines a modern hotel and hotel residential units, marking the global debut of the Rixos Living brand.”
The Rixos and Rixos Living – World Trade Center project in Cairo is located in the heart of the capital, and enjoys panoramic views of the Nile River. It occupies a strategic location in the city center along the historic Nile Corniche. The project is also distinguished by its proximity to the most prominent cultural and historical landmarks in Egypt, including the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Giza Pyramids area, in addition to easy access to Cairo International Airport and direct connection to the central business district.
In turn, Engineer Ramadan Al-Wasti Al-Arnaouti said: “The redevelopment of the World Trade Center in Cairo represents a major investment in revitalizing the capital’s central business district, and thanks to its integrated mix of hospitality, residential, shopping and business, Rixos and Rixos Living – World Trade Center – Cairo is expected to become a leading new business and lifestyle destination in the city.”
The project will include 364 units, including 176 Rixos hotel rooms and 188 hotel residential units.
The new project will be built across two towers based on wide platforms that include social and health spaces and restaurants, serving hotel guests, residents and the local community. When completed, the project will include more than 364 units, including 176 Rixos hotel rooms and 188 hotel residential units. The South Tower, expected to open in 2027, will be entirely dedicated to Rixos Living, while the North Tower, scheduled to open in 2028, will include hotel rooms along with a collection of hotel apartments.
The World Trade Center in Cairo is a prominent landmark on the city’s skyline and a long-established regional hub for international conferences, trade fairs and major events, providing strong and sustainable demand from the corporate sector throughout the year. As part of an integrated mixed-use complex that includes office towers, exhibition and conference facilities, and a completely renovated shopping center (which will also be managed by Rixos).
The project also enjoys a unique location that serves business travelers, long-term residents, and leisure visitors alike.
