The Mummification Museum in Luxor organized an art workshop entitled “Ramadan Lantern,” as part of its activities to celebrate the holy month and its role in enriching tourism and archaeological awareness.

The management of the Mummification Museum explained that, in continuation of the activities of the educational section, the artistic workshop was conducted using the tools “foam – painting paper – cardboard paper – adhesive wax.”

It is noteworthy that the Mummification Museum includes a museum exhibition hall containing 19 cabinets, which include the stages of mummification, starting from death until the burial ceremony, to take you on an exciting scientific journey.
The exhibition hall contains approximately 73 artifacts, including a collection of canopic vessels, elaborately decorated coffins, amulets, statues of deities, and funerary paintings, in addition to a collection of human and animal mummies such as crocodiles, cats, and fish.
As part of the celebration of the 28th anniversary of the opening of the museum, it launched a number of free guided tours for its Egyptian visitors to raise tourism and archaeological awareness among citizens. A ceremony and an artistic workshop will also be organized on the occasion of the anniversary of the opening of the museum.
