Egyptian television and some private channels broadcast the Friday prayer rituals today from the Al-Azhar Mosque, where the Friday Quran is recited by Sheikh Mustafa Al-Zein, the reciter and imam of the qibla at Al-Azhar Mosque, and the Friday sermon is delivered by Dr. Hani Odeh Awad, Director General of Al-Azhar Mosque, under the title: (Man and the Blessing of Life).

For her part, she specified Ministry of Endowments The topic of today’s sermon in the mosques affiliated with the Endowments, entitled: The breadth of God’s mercy, the door of hope and the path to salvation, noting that the goal is awareness of the breadth of God Almighty’s mercy, the sanctity of the human soul, and spreading the spirit of hope in times of adversity. She also specified the topic of the second sermon entitled: The crime of suicide.
Opening of 17 mosques
The Ministry of Endowments also announced the opening of 17 mosques, where two new mosques were established and built, 10 mosques were replaced and renovated, and 5 mosques were maintained and developed.
The Ministry announced that the total number of mosques opened since the first of July 2025 until now has reached 994 mosques, including 772 mosques between new construction, replacement and renovation, and 222 mosques for maintenance and development.
The Ministry confirmed that the total number of mosques that have been replaced, renovated, maintained and furnished since July 2014 amounted to 14,483 mosques, at a total cost estimated at approximately 27 billion and 208 million pounds.
