Qalyubia includes 6 electoral constituencies: Banha, Kafr Shukr, Toukh, Waqa, Qalyoub, Al-Qanater Al-Khayriyah, Shubra Al-Kheima, Al-Khanka, Al-Khasos, and Al-Obour – Shebin Al-Qanater, within which 71 individual candidates are competing, in addition to the electoral lists scheduled for the second phase.

The governor directed the activation of a central operations room in the governorate’s general office to be linked to sub-rooms in all local units to follow up on the electoral situation moment by moment, receive reports, and deal immediately with any emergencies or complaints.

Service committees have also been formed in various government sectors, including electricity, water, sanitation, health and education, to ensure the provision of full technical support to electoral headquarters before and during voting.

The Governor of Qalyubia confirmed the completion of cleaning work and raising the efficiency of the schools hosting the committees, including painting and maintaining the halls and waiting corridors, providing full lighting inside and outside the headquarters, installing backup electricity generators in anticipation of any emergency outages, and preparing special waiting areas for the elderly and people with disabilities. Coordination was also made with the Ambulance Authority to provide equipped cars near the committees and raise the degree of preparedness in public and central hospitals.

The security services in the Qalyubia Security Directorate and all police departments and stations in Qalyubia have completed their preparations to secure the vicinity of the committees by strengthening forces in front of the headquarters and intensifying patrols to impose discipline around schools and prevent any gatherings or electoral violations.

A traffic plan has also been prepared in the main cities, especially Noha and Shubra El Kheima, to prevent crowding and ensure easy movement of voters during the hours the polls are open.

Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Qalyubia, confirmed that the governorate is fully prepared for the start of voting, noting that all executive bodies stand at the same distance from all candidates and only interfere in service and organizational aspects.

The governor added that he personally followed the preparations of a number of electoral headquarters and stressed providing all means of comfort to voters and overcoming any obstacles they may face, stressing that the goal is to provide a safe and organized electoral climate that reflects the awareness of the people of Qalyubia and the extent of their participation in the parliamentary entitlement for what befits Egypt and its great people.
