President Ahmed Al-Sharaa was keen to congratulate the Syrian national team players after their victory over their Tunisian counterpart with a goal without a response in the 2025 Arab Cup.

Ahmed Al-Sharaa said during a call with Syrian players after the victory: Just show me your tricks, and God willing, I will get you to the World Cup.
He added: Just a little patience until I get back to working on the infrastructure for the sports stadiums and hotels. I am adopting the issue and there are investments, but we want the strong name to go back to the Syrian national team.
The Syrian national team achieved a victory over the Tunisia national team with a score of 1-0, as Omar Khribin scored in the 48th minute of the match.
The next match for the Syrian national team in the 2025 Arab Cup will be against the Qatar national team on December 4th for the second round of the first group.
