The leadership of the Public Authority for Health Care continued field follow-up tours in the governorate Port SaidDr. Amir Al-Talwani, Executive Director of the Authority, accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Hassan Salem, Director General of the Authority’s branch in Port Said, led an expanded tour that included a number of health facilities, to follow up on the operational readiness and evaluate the level of services after they officially joined the comprehensive health insurance system, in the presence of secondary and tertiary care leaders and officials of the technical departments in the governorate.
Healthcare continues follow-up tours and inspects medical facilities
The tour included an inspection of Al-Sadr Hospital In Port SaidThe leaders followed the current operational situation, reviewed the readiness of the infrastructure and medical departments, and discussed the targeted development axes to raise the efficiency of the service, ensuring that the hospital complies with the quality standards approved within the comprehensive health insurance system.
The tour moved to Al-Shifa Medical Complex, and inspected the reception and emergency departments and triage rooms, checking on the regularity of work and the speed of dealing with cases, in addition to following up on the readiness of the medical and nursing teams. The tour also included an inspection of the blood bank to ensure the availability of funds and their derivatives, and to support the rapid response system for emergency cases.
The leaders continued their tour by inspecting the Port Said Center for CT and MRI, following the decision to transfer its affiliation to the General Authority for Health Care, where the center’s technical and operational capabilities were identified, and an integrated plan began to be developed to optimally utilize it, to support diagnostic services and the speed and accuracy of providing service to patients.
Dr. Ahmed Hassan Salem confirmed that the field tours come within the authority’s plan to raise the efficiency of health facilities and fully integrate them into the comprehensive health insurance system, and to ensure the continuity of providing safe and stable medical services 24 hours a day, which is reflected in the quality of health care provided to the people of Port Said.

Authority officials indicated that the continuous field presence represents an essential pillar in monitoring performance on the ground, supporting medical teams, and achieving the state’s goals in building a modern health system capable of providing integrated therapeutic and diagnostic services according to the highest standards.
