Dr. Islam Bahnasawy, the head of the city of Port Fouad, confirmed today, Thursday, that the city’s work teams are continuing their efforts around the clock without interruption to remove pools of Mediterranean water from the city’s streets resulting from an exceptional weather condition and the rise of waves and their emergence into the streets and squares.
In implementation of the directives of Major General Ibrahim Abu Laymoun, Governor Port Said Quickly deal with any water accumulations as soon as they occur, and ensure that traffic returns to normal as quickly as possible







The head of the city of Port Fouad explained that the executive agencies are working according to a clear emergency plan that relies on the intensive deployment of equipment and suction vehicles in the main and secondary streets and vital axes, in addition to operating sewage lifting stations at maximum capacity to receive the accumulated amounts of water, with real-time follow-up from the main operations room of the national network for emergency and public safety services in the governorate and the Holding Company for Potable Water and Wastewater.

Dr. Islam Bahnasawy stressed the need for full commitment not to leave any equipment on the work sites until after ensuring that water pools have been completely removed and the streets returned to their natural state, stressing that any negligence or delay in responding to reports will be dealt with decisively, in order to preserve the interests and safety of citizens.
The mayor of Port Fouad concluded his statements by emphasizing that the city and all its executive bodies are in a state of constant readiness, and that follow-up continues moment by moment to confront any developments in the weather condition, while taking all necessary measures to ensure the security and safety of citizens and that services or traffic movement within the city of Port Fouad are not affected.
