Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Beni Suef Governorate, sent a congratulatory telegram to Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of Interior, in which he expressed his sincere congratulations and best medical wishes on the occasion of the celebration of the 74th anniversary of the Police Day, asking God Almighty to return it to him and the Egyptian people with more progress and prosperity, and for the flag of Egypt to remain flying high under the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The Governor of Beni Suef stressed that Police Day was, and still is, a cherished memory for the masses of the Egyptian people that embodies the true meaning of sacrifice for the sake of the homeland and the citizen, from which we draw inspiration from the spirit of altruism, redemption, and sincere, hard work, in order for our homeland to remain immortal throughout time, and a beacon for this generation and the generations after it to complete the march behind our political leadership, our armed forces, and the valiant police to defeat the plots of everyone who dares to tamper with the security and stability of our homeland.
In a related context, Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Beni Suef Governorate, sent a telegram to Major General Osama Gomaa, Assistant Minister of Interior, Director of Beni Suef Security, the leaders of the security services and sectors of the Ministry of Interior in Beni Suef Governorate, officers and individuals, in which he congratulated them on the seventy-fourth anniversary of the police holiday “January 2026.”
The Governor of Beni Suef appreciated the great efforts and precious sacrifices made by the police in establishing security and safety throughout Egypt and preserving the stability of the nation, which provides an appropriate and safe climate for achieving development, under the wise leadership of His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.
It is worth noting that Police Day commemorates the Battle of Ismailia in 1952, which claimed the lives of 50 martyrs and 80 wounded among the heroic Egyptian policemen at the hands of the British occupation on January 25, 1952, after the policemen refused to surrender their weapons and evacuate the Ismailia Governorate building to the elements of the British occupation at the time.
