Continue Oscar RuizChairman of the Main Referees Committee of the Egyptian Football Association, conducted his field tours in the governorates of Upper Egypt, where today, Sunday, he conducted intensive physical fitness tests for 30 referees and assistants from the governorates of: Sohag, Assiut, Minya, New Valley, and the Red Sea, at Sohag Stadium, within the framework of a comprehensive plan to raise technical and physical efficiency.

Today’s activities included tests of speed and endurance and measuring levels of physical readiness, with the aim of ensuring that the referees are able to keep up with the pace of the matches during the next stage.
On the practical side, the referees underwent practical training on the most controversial arbitration cases, with regard to hand touches and interference inside and outside the penalty area, in addition to training on good positioning, viewing angles, and quick decision-making under pressure.
The program also included theoretical lectures delivered by Ruiz, during which he addressed the standards of modern refereeing, the requirements for mental and behavioral development, and the latest amendments to the law of the game, stressing the importance of unifying refereeing visions to ensure consistency in decisions within stadiums.
These tours come as part of the development strategy implemented by the Federation, headed by Engineer Hani Abu Rida, which aims to support regional referees and give them the same qualification and evaluation opportunities, which contributes to enhancing arbitration justice and consolidating the principle of equal opportunities in various competitions.
