Al Wasl Club announced Emirati His official contract with former French international defender Kurt Zouma, in a free transfer, to strengthen the Emperor’s ranks during the coming period.
A busy career in the English Premier League
Zouma has a long football career in European stadiums, where his most prominent stop was with the English club Chelsea, which he joined in 2014 and continued with him until the 2021/2022 season, a period that witnessed him going out on several loans to gain experience before he became a mainstay in the Blues’ defense.
In the summer of 2021, the French defender moved to the English club West Ham United in a record deal worth 35 million euros, where he continued to shine in the English Premier League for several seasons.
Final experiments before the connecting station
Zouma began his journey in the Arab region during the 2024/2025 season when he moved to the Saudi club Al Orouba on loan. After the end of his experience in Saudi stadiums, the player moved to the Romanian club CFR Cluj on a free deal, before leaving the team on January 10, 2026, finally landing in the Emirati club Al Wasl.
The contract with Kurt Zouma is a strong technical addition to the UAE League, given the great experience the player has acquired in the strongest international leagues and his previous participation with the French national team.
