Samsung smartphones are perhaps among the most leaked products in the world. The company is reportedly taking measures to prevent the public from getting details about the features and design of the upcoming Galaxy flagship six months before its launch – just in time for the Galaxy S27 leak season.
By the summer of 2025, it’s becoming very clear what improvements Samsung has in store for the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s cameras — and what it doesn’t. All the details revealed up to that point, along with the leaks that appeared a few days ago, proved accurate, even if some individual details emerged later. To outsiders, it may not always be obvious as leakers like Ice Universe often know months before launch what Samsung is secretly planning for the next generation of Galaxy flagships. However, according to the Korea Herald, Samsung is now working to eliminate internal leaks.
The report states that Samsung has introduced a new secure chat mode in its internal communications system, which also appears to include subsidiaries. Once this mode is enabled, employees cannot copy, forward, save, or take screenshots of their conversations. These measures aim to prevent internal department memos and similar documents from reaching anonymous platforms, where they could be picked up by leakers and the media.
We will be able to monitor the effectiveness of this measure in the coming months, as leaks related to the Galaxy S27 are expected to intensify. Early information about the successor to the Galaxy S26 has already emerged weeks ago, for example regarding camera upgrades for the Ultra model. Ironically, the details regarding this secure chat mode have come from a leak. Samsung has not yet issued an official statement on this matter. It may be impossible to completely prevent leaks, especially since much of the information comes from suppliers or retailers. Furthermore, internal conversations can still be filmed using another phone’s camera.
