The technical staff of Zamalek Club, led by Ahmed Abdel Raouf, decided to return Nasser Maher, the team’s midfielder, to the starting lineup during the next confrontation against Mahalla Municipality, which is scheduled to be held within the Egypt Cup competitions.

A source within the Zamalek club revealed that the decision to return Nasser Maher came after his participation as a substitute in the last match against Smouha, within the matches of the Egyptian Capital Cup, where the technical staff preferred to give him some minutes to determine his technical and physical readiness, before relying on him mainly in the next match.
The source added that the technical staff sees Nasser Maher as one of the important elements capable of making a difference in the midfield, especially in light of the team’s need for offensive solutions and diversification of play, which is what prompted Abdel Raouf to decide to play him from the beginning of the match against the Mahalla Municipality.
The source explained that the technical director is seeking, at the current stage, to prepare all the main players in the best possible way, given the importance of facing El Mahalla Municipality, which is a decisive match in Zamalek’s journey this season, given that it is held in a knockout system, which forces the team to deal with it with the utmost seriousness and focus.
The source indicated that Abdel Raouf plans to exploit all the basic elements available within the team during the upcoming match, in order to impose control from the first minutes, and avoid any surprises that might complicate the team’s mission in the tournament.
The source concluded his statements by emphasizing that the technical staff is working to prepare the players psychologically and technically, while correcting the mistakes that appeared in previous matches, with the aim of achieving victory against the Mahalla Municipality and continuing the competition for the Egypt Cup title, which represents one of the team’s main goals during the current season.
