The village of Barawi, affiliated with the Tala Center in Menoufia Governorate, witnessed an atmosphere of joy and happiness with the entry of the holy month of Ramadan, after the erection of the largest Ramadan lantern in the governorate, according to the people’s description, which reaches a length of about 25 meters, equivalent to the height of a four-story house, to become the talk of the people and visitors and attract the attention of everyone.

The giant lantern turned into a shrine for the people from within The village And the neighboring villages, where citizens were keen to take memorial photos next to it, in a scene that reflects the spirit of love and joy at the arrival of the holy month, and adds a distinctive Ramadan atmosphere to the place.

A number of village residents confirmed that implementing the giant lantern has become an annual tradition that they have been keen on for several years, as part of their participation in the joy of welcoming the month of Ramadan, noting that the work is carried out through personal efforts and with the participation of youth, which enhances the spirit of cooperation and belonging among the people of the village.

The Barwi lantern is considered one of the most prominent Ramadan manifestations in Menoufia Governorate, as it adds a state of general joy and embodies the people’s adherence to authentic Egyptian customs and traditions, amid widespread praise from citizens who considered it a symbol of joy and part of the celebrations of the Holy Month.
