Harmful effects of excessive use of tranquilizers

Many studies have indicated that there is an increase in the prevalence of psychological disorders, as a result of the repeated use of these sedative, hypnotic, and anti-anxiety medications by adolescents and young people continuously since 2001.

These sedative medications of all kinds are used to treat some conditions, including anxiety and sleep disorders, poor concentration, a constant feeling of dizziness, and a feeling of imbalance, which results in these symptoms of fainting, especially in the elderly.

It harms the liver and kidneys

Repeated use of these medications causes damage to the liver and kidneys, which worsens the health condition if there are previous problems. These types also affect the psychological and cognitive state, because the continuous use of these medications greatly affects memory weakness and causes continuous mood swings, which leads to depression due to their direct effect on the brain.

Scientists have also confirmed that chronic use of tranquilizers may increase the risk of cognitive deterioration or dementia, although results vary depending on the type of medication and age group.
