Muhammad Gibran contract, Minister of Laboura bilateral meeting with Melista Djur Jevic Stamenkovski, Minister of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, on the sidelines of the Minister of Labor’s participation in the activities of the International Labor Market Conference currently being held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, within the framework of supporting and strengthening joint cooperation relations between the two countries in the fields of work, employment and labor mobility.

Minister of Labor: Egypt is ready to export its trained workers to Serbia and enhance cooperation in employment

During the meeting, Minister Mohamed Gibran confirmed the readiness of the Egyptian state to export trained and qualified Egyptian workers to the Serbian labor market in various fields and required professions, stressing that the vocational training system in Egypt has witnessed a real boom that qualifies national cadres to compete in foreign markets.

The two sides agreed on a number of practical proposals to enhance this bilateral cooperation in the field of labor and employment, including activating the memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries, forming a joint technical committee to coordinate the needs of the labor market, and establishing a direct communication mechanism between the two ministries of labor without intermediaries, in a way that ensures the rapid exchange of data and information.

Emphasis was also placed on studying the acceptance of Egyptian workers, whether seasonal or permanent, according to the needs of the Serbian labor market, while identifying the sectors and professions required and the numbers of workers, in a way that achieves the interests of both sides and ensures that the labor transfer process is organized in an institutional and disciplined manner.

The two sides pointed to the depth of bilateral relations between Egypt and Serbia, stressing that Serbia is a strategic partner of Egypt, and that these relations enjoy direct support from the political leaderships of the two countries, which established close cooperation that the two governments are working to translate into concrete projects and partnerships in various sectors.

The Minister of Labor reviewed the Egyptian state’s efforts to open new labor markets for trained Egyptian workers, in cooperation with international and local partners, especially in the areas of labor mobility, developing the vocational training system, raising the efficiency of training centers, developing youth skills, and qualifying them according to the needs of the external labor market, while ensuring that they possess the necessary skills through the “vocational examination” system and measuring the level of the craft, in addition to making them aware of their rights and duties through the Ministry’s “Pre-Departure Guidance Unit,” in implementation of the President’s directives. For her part, the Serbian Minister of Labor expressed her appreciation for the pioneering and pivotal role played by Egypt at the Arab and African levels, praising the existing cooperation between the two countries, praising coordination and mutual understanding in the field of labor transfer, and working to formulate a new mechanism to facilitate the transfer of trained Egyptian cadres to the Serbian labor market in a way that serves the interests of both sides.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was emphasized to continue coordination and consultation during the next stage, and to build on what was previously agreed upon, in a way that contributes to supporting employment opportunities, expanding areas of bilateral cooperation, and strengthening the strategic partnership between Egypt and Serbia in the labor sector.
