Journalist Ibrahim Abdel-Gawad revealed developments in the position of Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, the Al-Ahly star, regarding returning to participate in matches during the coming period, after his absence due to injury.
Abdel-Gawad confirmed, during his appearance on the “On Stadium” program on the “On Sport” channel, that the player will not be on the team’s roster against El Gouna, scheduled to be held on Thursday evening, because he has not yet reached full readiness.
Abdel-Gawad explained that Trezeguet is continuing to implement his rehabilitation program, and that the medical team is seeking to prepare him gradually without rushing to rush him, so that the injury does not worsen or reoccur. He pointed out that the player will be 100% ready to participate in the Smouha match, scheduled to be held next Monday, but the decision to participate in the match will be in the hands of Danish coach Jes Torop, according to his technical vision and the team’s needs.
Trezeguet’s chances of catching the match against El Gouna diminish
In a related context, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet’s chances of playing in Al-Ahly’s match against El Gouna declined, due to his not fully recovering from the strain he suffered in his posterior muscle. The player needs to complete the treatment and rehabilitation program completely before returning to group training normally.
The sources confirmed that the medical team prefers not to risk sending the player into the El Gouna match, especially since the muscular injury requires extreme caution in dealing with it, so that the player does not return before recovery is complete.
Trezeguet is expected to join the team’s training after completing the final qualification stage, after which he will be ready to participate in the matches, starting with the match with Smouha, if the technical staff allows it.
