Belamri explained in statements to the official website of the Al-Ahly club that he received several offers during the recent period, but his conversation with Al-Ahly officials was decisive in his choice to join the club with a long history and continental and local championships, stressing that Al-Ahly always seeks to win titles in any tournament in which it participates.
He added that Engineer Khaled Murtaji, the club’s treasurer, contacted him at the beginning of the negotiations, and spoke about Al-Ahly’s ambitions in the coming period and the desire to continue the process of achievements, which is what he aspires to achieve with the team, pointing out that any player who joins Al-Ahly bears a great responsibility, and must live up to the trust of the fans and the administration, and he is accustomed to playing under great public pressure during his time with Moroccan Raja.
Youssef Belamri pointed to the role of his compatriot Ashraf Bin Sharqi in helping him adapt within the team as quickly as possible, praising the strong spirit of bonding between the players, which facilitates his integration into the Al-Ahly atmosphere.
The Moroccan star pointed out that he followed Al-Ahly’s matches in the Club World Cup that was held in the United States of America, especially against Porto of Portugal, in addition to the team’s matches against the Royal Moroccan Army and the Algerian JS Kabylie, expressing his admiration for the level presented by the team.
