The city of Shubra al-Kheima in Qalyubia Governorate witnessed a tragic killing, following the outbreak of an armed quarrel between two parties. It resulted in the death of a young blacksmith, after being hit by a penetrating gunshot in the abdomen below the chest. He was transferred to Matareya Hospital as a dead body at the disposal of the Public Prosecution. Major General Ashraf Gaballah, Assistant Minister of the Interior for the Qalyubia Security Sector, was notified.
Major General Mohamed Al-Sayed, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department in Qalyubia, and Major General Wael Metwally, Head of Investigations of the Directorate, received a notification from Lieutenant Colonel Mustafa Diab, Chief of Investigations of the Second Division in Shubra Al-Kheima, stating that the so-called “Fathi MFA”, 21 years old, a blacksmith, and resident of the ESCO housing in Bahtim, had arrived at Matareya Hospital with a gunshot wound, and died from his injury.
Immediately, the department’s investigation officers moved to the location of the report, and by questioning the victim’s brother, Imad A. A. M., 32 years old, a laundry worker who lives at the same address, he accused two people of killing his brother following a quarrel that broke out between them.
Conducting investigations under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel Mustafa Diab and his assistants, it was revealed that a violent quarrel with firearms had broken out between two parties. The first party was made up of three people, including the victim, namely: “Fathi MFA” (deceased), “Khaled MFA”, known as Walid Jazra, who had previously been accused in cases (drugs and weapons), and “Ahmed HMA”, known as Hasaballah, had previously been accused in cases (drugs, weapons and theft), and the second party. It consists of two people: “Youssef AFM,” 18 years old, known as Asha, who suffered from a head injury, and “Mahmoud A.M.A.”, 30 years old, who suffered from an injury in the palm of his hands. All of them reside in Asco housing in the Bahtim area.
Investigations revealed that the two sides exchanged gunfire during the altercation, which resulted in the victim being hit by a penetrating bullet that killed him instantly.
After codifying the procedures, the department’s investigation officers were able to arrest the perpetrators of the incident and seize the firearm used, “a single shotgun.” When confronted, they admitted to committing the incident, confirming that the incident occurred against the backdrop of previous disputes that evolved from a verbal altercation into an armed quarrel.
A report was drawn up regarding the incident, No. 12221, Administrative Department, Second Department, Shubra El Kheima, for the year 2025, and the Public Prosecution took over the investigation, which authorized the burial of the body after the autopsy was completed.
