In a cultural scene vibrant with creativity, Giza Governorate students lit up the corridors of the Cairo International Book Fair in its fifty-seventh session, through the distinguished participation of the Department of Theatrical Education, under the patronage of Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, and under the leadership of Dr. Iman Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Student Activities.

Student participation came to confirm that school theater does not stop at the boundaries of artistic performance, but rather extends to be a space for awareness and human building, as Giza students presented interactive theatrical performances that mixed words, art, and conscience, and linked the book to theater in a live dialogue with the audience.

From the heart of history to the awareness of the present

The performances were inspired by the spirit of Egyptian Pharaonic civilization and ancient Egyptian heritage, and presented them with a contemporary theatrical vision that embodied the depth of Egyptian history as a soft force capable of addressing the present and enhancing the values of belonging and national identity among new generations, in a sophisticated artistic image that received wide interaction from visitors to the exhibition.

School theater is an awareness industry

The participation highlighted the vital role of theater education in shaping students’ awareness, as the performances contributed to developing self-confidence, refining communication and teamwork skills, in addition to enhancing cultural awareness and national belonging, and opening the way to discover promising student talents capable of expression and creativity.

This participation confirms that school theater, when managed with a conscious and professional vision, turns into a true gateway to the future, and a bridge connecting knowledge, art, and humanity, and in appreciation of the theater education specialists and students of Giza Governorate, who have provided an inspiring model for the role of student activities in building an integrated personality that is good at expressing itself, proud of its identity, and believes in the power of culture in creating awareness.
