Indonesian student Yili Putriati, a graduate of Al-Azhar University, expressed her great happiness with her visit to the city of Tanta, and the spiritual atmosphere she witnessed during it inside Al-Sayyid Al-Badawi Mosque, stressing that the experience left a great impact on her.

Speaking to “Cairo 24,” Yeli said that Egypt is a beautiful country whose people enjoy special greatness, noting that her dream since childhood was to study at Al-Azhar University, and that meeting the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, was one of the most important wishes of her life. She explained that she was introduced to Egypt for the first time through the series “Youssef Al-Siddiq,” and was fascinated by its ancient history and extended civilization.

She added that she visited Al-Sayyid Al-Badawi Mosque today, and noticed the great turnout at the shrine, which, according to her description, reflected the love of Egyptians for the saints of God and the righteous, expressing her great happiness with the visit to Tanta and the warm reception and honor that she received from its people.

Yili stressed her love for Egypt and Al-Azhar University, and her positive talk about Al-Azhar’s role in creating generations of students from different countries of the world, and the global scientific and religious value it represents.

On the other hand, Dr. Tariq Al-Mohammadi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Salam University, honored the student Yili during her visit to the city of Tanta. This came in appreciation of her sincere words about Egypt and Al-Azhar, considering that what she expressed embodies a true love for the Egyptian people and the status of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.

He explained that the state is paying great attention to the education sector during the current period, with clear efforts to strengthen Egypt’s position as a regional center for higher education, through an integrated system to support and care for international students, who number about 198,000 students from 119 countries, within the framework of a strategy aimed at strengthening Egyptian soft power and strengthening cultural and scientific ties with Arab and international countries.
