The Sohag Health Directorate issued a media statement regarding the video circulating on some social media pages, which shows an altercation between the director of his health truck administration and one of the medical staff, explaining that it dealt with the incident as soon as it was monitored, within the framework of ensuring discipline and adherence to the laws regulating work within health facilities.

The Directorate confirmed that immediately after the video was shown to Dr. Amr Dowidar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Sohag, he directed the formation of an urgent committee from the Directorate that includes the Director General of Therapeutic Medicine, the Director of the Governance and Internal Review Department, the Director of Legal Affairs, and the Director of the Nursing Department, in order to examine the incident and determine its circumstances accurately.
The Directorate explained that the committee went to Saqalta Central Hospital to conduct a field examination and listen to the concerned parties, and a detailed report on what was reached is being prepared, in preparation for presenting it to the Undersecretary to take the necessary measures in accordance with the laws and regulations regulating work.
The Sohag Health Directorate stressed that it stands at the same distance from all medical and administrative personnel, and will not be lax in enforcing the law, stressing that any violation proven to have occurred will be dealt with decisively, ensuring discipline and proper workflow within health facilities.
