The Musical Professions Syndicate witnessed a state of controversy after the artist Mustafa Kamel, head of the Musicians Syndicate, appeared in a live broadcast on his Facebook account, during which he directed sharp criticism at some members of the Syndicate Council for what he described as negligence and lack of commitment within the Council.

Mustafa Kamel stressed in his speech that the union cannot continue to work in this way, saying: It will not be useful for the union to work with 4 people and the rest will be absent for two months, indicating that the volume of daily files requires constant presence and continuous effort from all council members without exception.

The captain added that since he assumed responsibility, he did not enter the union in search of courtesy or position, but rather with the aim of managing the interests of the members, saying: From the day I entered the chair of the captain, I entered to manage the interests of the people… I would kill myself at work, stressing his rejection of any conspiracies or side calls that hinder work within the council.

During the broadcast, Mustafa Kamel revealed that the union had been suffering from financial violations in previous periods, saying: The money that was looted and stolen, God knows how, was returned, pointing out that he had worked to restore financial and administrative discipline within the union since taking office.

The captain criticized some members who do not carry out their duties, adding: There are people who do not do their work with me here, and when success happens, everyone comes to imagine it, explaining that he does not accept appearing during celebrations and disappearing during serious work.

He added in a decisive tone: “I don’t know how to work for people or bake…and anyone who can’t work should resign.”

Mustafa Kamel stressed that the union works to serve artists and protect their rights, and there is no place in it for anyone who does not perform his role or neglects his responsibilities, stressing that the next stage will witness a comprehensive review of the commitment of the council members, in order to preserve the interest of the profession and its members.
