The Ministry of Endowments continued its efforts to rebuild the houses of God Almighty and prepare them to receive the guests of God, during the period from January 1 to December 31, 2025, under the guidance of Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments.

The Endowments opens 1,251 mosques and renews the furnishings of 2,392 mosques during the year 2025.

During this period, the various governorates of the Republic witnessed the opening of 1,251 mosques, within the framework of the Ministry’s plan aimed at expanding the establishment of mosques, developing existing ones, and raising their efficiency, in a way that contributes to providing better service to worshipers, and enhances the religious and societal role of the mosque.

These openings included 139 mosques that were constructed, replaced, and built new, in addition to 724 mosques that were replaced and renovated, as well as 388 mosques that underwent maintenance and development work, which reflects the scale of the effort made to modernize the infrastructure of mosques nationwide.
In the same context, the Ministry continued to prepare mosques to receive their patrons, as the furnishings of 2,392 mosques were renewed during the same period, with a total amount of furnishings amounting to 717,695 square meters, which contributes to providing an appropriate faith environment for performing religious rituals in the various governorates.

This comes as part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to implement its plans aimed at reconstructing the homes of God Almighty, and consolidating the position of the mosque as a beacon of awareness and a center for building religious and national values.
