The governorate called on the governorate to adhere to the instructions of the General Traffic Department, turn on the fog lights, drive calmly during fog, and avoid stopping suddenly with the parking lights on as a danger to those coming from behind.
The General Traffic Department issued some advice, including not closing the car windows completely to avoid forming fog inside the car as well.
It instructed drivers that if they stop, they should be on the side of the road and place the traffic triangle at a sufficient distance from the car to warn those coming from behind.
It advised drivers not to get out of the car except in cases of extreme necessity, and to wear a phosphorescent sundress to reflect light and protect the driver.
The General Authority of Meteorology had previously warned of the formation of dense water mist on highways during the early hours of the morning, stressing the need to be careful while driving.
