The Nile Schools Unit sent a message to parents with the aim of providing a safe educational environment based on trust and transparency, after the incident of assault on students of the Nile International School in the community.

The Nile Schools Unit said, during a letter addressed to parents, that these decisions came within the framework of reorganizing the administrative system and emphasizing that any negligence or practices that do not comply with the school’s values ​​or child protection standards will not be tolerated, the most important of which are:

Decisions of the Nile Schools Unit

1- Dismissal of the school principal.
2- Dismissal of the kindergarten director.
3- Dismissal of all security personnel, whether their involvement is proven or not.
4- Dismissal of a number of female supervisors working in the kindergarten stage in light of the results of the investigation conducted by the company’s Legal Affairs Department, which proved the presence of some negligence and negligence in the performance of their duties.

5- The security system has been completely restructured within all branches, excluding any undisciplined elements, and tightening the criteria for selecting security personnel until the contracting procedures with a private security and guard company are completed within a short period.

6-Any direct or individual interaction between security personnel and KG children has been prohibited under any circumstances, and a security personnel (woman) has been appointed at the entrance to the kindergarten building.

7- Modern surveillance cameras have been installed and updated covering all entrances, exits, corridors, toilet doors (kindergartens), courtyards, all common areas and activity rooms, with full compliance with the legal controls governing privacy.

8- Regular meetings were activated with all parents at all stages.

9- Strict written policies have been developed to combat any form of abuse or harassment while applying the principle of immediate accountability without exception.

10- Safe communication and reporting channels have been opened for parents to ensure any comments related to student safety are quickly dealt with.

11- Dedicated rooms have been created to monitor surveillance cameras in each school branch, operating throughout the school day and equipped with surveillance screens connected to all cameras.

12- Specialized and trained female employees have been appointed to monitor the surveillance cameras permanently, record any observations or disorderly behavior, and immediately and directly report them to the school administration to take the necessary action without any delay.

13- Strict instructions have been issued that security personnel must not enter the school’s internal campus or be present inside the educational buildings at all. Their role is limited to the external gates only and they are prohibited from using any internal facilities designated for students or school employees.

14-All security personnel were required to undergo periodic drug tests as a basic condition for continuing to work.

15- A commitment has been made to provide accredited and notarized medical and psychological certificates issued by official bodies and certified psychiatrists proving the health and psychological safety of security personnel, with periodic re-evaluation in accordance with school policies.

She stressed that the security and safety of students, especially KG children, as well as students in the primary, middle and secondary levels, represents a top priority and a red line that is not allowed to be crossed under any name, and that the current administration is fully committed to applying the highest standards of discipline and control.

The Ministry of Education and Technical Education stressed its continuation of implementing the package of measures recently announced by Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, to ensure the safety and security of students, and this came in the context of the incident that took place in one of the Egyptian Nile International Schools in Cairo.

Within the framework of the directives of Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif, the Ministry of Education explains that the following measures have been taken:

– Assigning a specialized committee from the Ministry of Education to manage the Egyptian Nile International Schools.

– Reviewing and intensifying the deployment of surveillance cameras in the Egyptian Nile International Schools group, increasing supervision and a complete review of the educational process within the group of schools.

– Taking all legal measures against all officials proven to be involved in negligence or negligence that led to this incident.
