Dr. Mohamed Hani Ghoneim, Governor of Beni Suef, decided to provide urgent assistance to a woman residing in the city of Beni Suef who supports a family of three children in various stages of education, taking into account her critical family, financial and health conditions, especially since she is receiving treatment due to her chronic disease – rheumatoid arthritis – and is going through critical family circumstances after her husband was dismissed from his job following his default in repaying loans owed to a bank and the resulting imprisonment for inability to pay.
The governor directed the Solidarity Directorate to take the necessary steps to disburse a solidarity pension after completing all the required papers and procedures, in addition to coordinating with civil society to provide goods for the kiosk that the family owns and is currently its only source of income.
This came during the open meeting today, Wednesday, as part of a series of weekly meetings held by the governor, to discuss appropriate solutions and alternatives to the problems, complaints, demands and needs of citizens in various service facilities and vital sectors, in the presence of specialists from the ministry’s undersecretaries and concerned executive officials to quickly propose and implement solutions, with follow-up through the governor’s office to ensure continuity and implementation of the agreed-upon solutions as quickly as possible.
The Governor of Beni Suef also assigned Social Solidarity to coordinate with charitable societies to contribute to paying the remainder of the amount due for the costs of performing a kidney transplant surgery for a 23-year-old young man residing in one of the villages in the Beni Suef Center, after a number of associations contributed to bear a large portion of the total cost of the operation, in addition to disbursing an urgent aid from the governorate in consideration of the family’s financial and social conditions, especially after the death of the young man’s 27-year-old sister after suffering from kidney failure.
During the meeting, the governor listened to the complaint submitted by a number of residents of Kafr Al-Jazeera village in Nasser Center, about the contractor’s slowness in delivering sewage service to their homes on one of the streets. Officials from the branch of the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation explained that work is currently underway on 30 meters of the street, which has a total length of 600 metres, and coordination is required for the people’s cooperation to raise, level, and pave some parts of the street. The governor directed the authority’s officials to intensify the work and prepare a report on the work carried out in accordance with Technically required standard specifications
The governor directed the local unit officials, in coordination with the water company, to take the necessary measures regarding the complaint filed by a resident of Ezbet Mutairid in Nasser Center, about the presence of water of unknown origin at the entrance to his house, possibly groundwater. The water company was tasked with analyzing a sample of the water to determine its source, in addition to the local unit monitoring the sweeping and withdrawal of water, which is likely the result of a previous repaired break in some pipes, but coinciding with the beginning of the winter season, the area is still saturated with water.
The Governor assigned Urban Planning and Inspection to inspect the place of the complaint regarding a citizen building a staircase measuring one and a half meters in the street in front of his house in the village of Qalha, affiliated with the Nuwaira Village Council, the Ahnasia Center, which obstructs traffic, according to what was stated in the complaint. The Governor directed the inspection, reviewing the license, and preparing a report in light of the inspection to take the necessary measures in accordance with the law.
Regarding a request submitted by a number of residents of the Al-Jazira region, seeking to open a 21-meter-wide street, which is an extension of Al-Shaarawi Street from the western side of the Samasta Center, the governor assigned urban planning officials and the local unit to study the request, as the planning director stated that the street needs a careful review to determine its features and boundaries, while the city president added that the street has been paved and leveled and occupancy will be removed from it, in preparation for the work of cadastral surveying of it, provided that coordination is made to include it in the next paving plan.
