Ibrahim Salah, the former Zamalek and Egyptian national team star, spoke about Egypt’s confrontation with Zimbabwe in the African Cup of Nations.
Salah said in radio statements: “I am optimistic about the Egyptian national team against Zimbabwe, and we are waiting for a culmination of the efforts of the national team’s players over the past months.”
The former Zamalek player added: I know that the Egyptian national team is in a state of intense concentration despite the not positive atmosphere in the recent period, and the national team’s players are in a state of intense concentration and are capable of defeating Zimbabwe.
He continued: Hossam Hassan is a great coach with a name who is able to put together the most appropriate formation against Zimbabwe, and the condition of the players is a big factor in today’s victory against Zimbabwe.
He continued: African teams are not easy and have developed greatly from the past, and the team will suffer from the pressure of matches in African nations.
Ibrahim Salah concluded his statements by saying: This is how people will criticize Hossam Hassan for the formation, and I hope that Zizou and Trezeguet will participate with Marwan Attia in the middle of the field against Zimbabwe. The criticism will not affect the players, but the players feel confident if the audience praises them.
