The competent investigation authorities decided to refer the composer Bahaa Hosni He was put on trial after being accused of insulting and disturbing the artist Hussein Al Jasmi.

Earlier, the Association for Authors and Composers Affairs decided to refer composer Bahaa Hosni to investigation, after it was proven that he used a fake certificate in the complaint filed against the artist Hussein Al Jasmi.
According to an official statement issued by the association, an official complaint had already been received from Hosni against Al Jasmi, and it was referred to a specialized technical committee in accordance with the established procedures. However, the surprise came after an incorrect wording of the committee’s decision was spread on some news sites and communication platforms, which later turned out to be distorted and was never presented to the Board of Directors.
The statement explained that this forged wording was prepared by the member himself, in reference to Bahaa Hosni, as he deceived an employee to obtain the association’s seal and the signatures of some committee members, which was considered behavior in violation of the regulations and a form of forgery.
Accordingly, the President of the Association, Dr. Medhat Al-Adl, decided to refer the composer Bahaa Hosni and any employee proven to be involved in this incident, to immediate investigation, stressing that the Association will not tolerate any violation of the institutional system or illegal exploitation of its name and slogans.
At the conclusion of its statement, the association affirmed its full commitment to transparency and impartiality in dealing with all complaints and disputes, and its full commitment to preserving the rights of its members without any discrimination.
