Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, revealed details that a residential property was affected as a result of the excavation work for the subway project in the King Al-Saleh area in the Old Cairo neighborhood.
Forming an engineering committee to examine a property affected by metro works in ancient Egypt
The Governor of Cairo confirmed, in statements to Cairo 24, that a specialized engineering committee was immediately formed to examine the property and determine its structural safety, while evacuating all residents as a precaution to preserve their lives.
The governor explained that the company implementing the project provided hotel units to temporarily host the affected families, until the inspection work was completed and the engineering condition of the property was completed, in order to preserve the safety of the residents.
The Malik Al-Saleh area in the Old Cairo neighborhood witnessed a state of anxiety among residents after engineering problems appeared in one of the properties as a result of excavation for subway work, which required the evacuation of residents as a precautionary measure, amid demands for the need to reach a just solution that preserves the rights of those affected and guarantees the safety of their property.
