The Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in Beni Suef Governorate continued to implement its intensive monitoring campaigns at the level of the centers and cities of the governorate, within the framework of the directives of Major General Abdullah Abdul Aziz, Governor of Beni Suef, to continue tightening control over markets, bakeries and gas stations, and to take legal measures against violators, in coordination with the concerned authorities to ensure the stability of the markets and protect the rights of citizens.

The report prepared by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply, Mohamed Abdel Rahman, indicated that the campaigns implemented during the month of January 2026 came in cooperation with the Supply Investigations, the Veterinary Medicine Directorate, the food inspectors in the Health Directorate, and the Stamps and Weights Authority, and resulted in the issuance of a large number of various reports.

In the field of oversight of municipal bakeries, 1,014 violations were issued, varying between 313 preparations for producing bread that did not conform to specifications, 172 violations related to loaf specifications, 159 for failure to provide a dispensing bun, 151 for failure to adhere to hygiene requirements, 15 for lack of a scale, 42 for disposing of the portion, 118 for failure to compile an operating list, and 44 for failure to keep an inspection record.

In the field of monitoring markets, shops, petroleum materials and various activities, 721 reports were issued, including 142 reports for not having valid health certificates, 131 for not announcing prices, 32 for slaughtering outside slaughterhouses and not covering meat, 97 for not practicing the activity or stopping it without notification, 6 for managing facilities without a license, 63 for possession of goods of unknown origin, 23 for possession of expired goods or selling for more than the official price, and 30 One report was issued for assembling petroleum products, 14 for assembling subsidized municipal flour, and 182 for various violations related to non-compliance with rationing instructions.

The Directorate confirmed the continuation of its daily campaigns in all governorate centers, to control any violations that would harm citizens or tamper with subsidized and basic goods, while taking the necessary legal measures against violators.
