Ahmed Soliman, a member of the Board of Directors of Zamalek Club, confirmed his position on the controversy that arose during the past hours, after video clips of him from a television program were circulated, which were interpreted as potentially causing a dispute between him and the fans of the White Castle, or raising suspicions of a conflict of interest in the crisis of the player Mahmoud Bentaek, the team’s left back.

Soliman responded on his official page on the social networking site Facebook, describing what was being circulated as “paid campaigns” aimed at creating unfounded crises, stressing his full affiliation with the Zamalek Club.
Soliman wrote: In response to the paid campaigns, I was, still am, and will continue until the end of my life under the command of the Zamalek Club, whether I am in a responsible position or without a position.
The Board of Directors member’s response came after a video of him spreading in which he spoke about the Mahmoud Bentaek crisis, in light of a family connection between the two parties, as Suleiman is the player’s father-in-law.
Suleiman explained, during his media interview, that he does not interfere in the team’s affairs or player crises on his own, out of respect for the administrative system followed within the club.
Soliman stressed that if the Zamalek Club’s board of directors asked him to intervene to resolve any crisis, whether related to Mahmoud Ben Tayek or other players on the team, he would not delay in providing assistance, based solely on his concern for the club’s interest.
He stressed that the football system within Zamalek has a clear structure, which includes the presence of a sports director responsible for the team, in addition to the supervision of the club president and vice president over the football file.
Soliman concluded his statements by emphasizing that Zamalek’s interest comes above any personal considerations, and that he is committed to working within the institutional framework, ensuring the team’s stability and maintaining the confidence of its fans.
