Major General Mohamed El-Sayed, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department in Qalyubia, and Major General Wael Metwally, Chief of Investigations at the Directorate, received a notification from Lieutenant Colonel Mustafa Diab, Chief of Investigations of the Second Department of Shubra El-Kheima, stating that a report had been received from the people of the death of a person at the hands of his ex-wife in the Mostorod area.
Immediately, the department’s investigation officers moved to the place where the report was reported, and upon examination it was found that there was the body of the person called “Ahmed H. Sh.”, 37 years old, an electrical appliances dealer, residing in the Mostorod area, with a penetrating stab wound to the left shoulder that claimed his life.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused, called “Asmaa A,” 35 years old, a housewife and resident of the Mostorod area, went to her ex-husband’s workplace on the day of the incident, where a verbal argument broke out between them, which developed into an assault, against the backdrop of his divorcing her 10 days ago, and her learning of his marriage to another woman after the divorce, so she pulled a knife from inside the store and directed a single stab wound at him in the left shoulder, killing him instantly.
After codifying the procedures, the department’s investigation officers were able to arrest the accused, and when they confronted her, she admitted to committing the incident, confirming that the crime occurred after the victim assaulted her by beating her inside his workplace.
The investigation authorities in the city of Shubra Al-Kheima, Qalyubia Governorate, ordered the imprisonment of a housewife for 4 days pending investigation, subject to renewal within the legal deadline, for accusing her of killing her ex-husband by stabbing her with a white weapon inside his workplace in the Mostorod area.
