Cairo 24 learned that the makers are making a series Sima Al Khashab They decided to postpone the work until after the 2026 Ramadan season in order for the work to come out in the appropriate manner, especially since the producing company decided to set a huge budget for this project.
Somaya Al-Khashab was scheduled to participate in the upcoming Ramadan season in a new series directed by Ibram Nashat and produced by Islam Morsi, whose events take place in a suspenseful social context.

On the other hand, Somaya Al-Khashab participated in the Ramadan 2025 drama season through the series Umm 44, which included an elite group of Arab stars, including Mays Kamer, Hoda Al-Khatib, Jumana Murad, Iman Al-Husseini, Laila Abdullah, Fatima Al-Safi, Lulwa Al-Mulla, and Abeer Ahmed.
The series was written by Heba Mishari Hamada, directed by Al-Muthanna Sobh, and presented by Abla Fahita in a distinct voice, with words by Menna Adly Al-Qai’i and composed by Ahmed Tariq Yahya.
The story revolves around 8 44-year-old women who are going through different experiences between emotional crises, family problems, and professional ambitions, as each one tries to find balance and achieve herself before she misses the train of dreams.
Somaya Khashab’s last work in cinema was the movie The Big Night, which was shown in 2015. It was written by Ahmed Abdullah and directed by the late Sameh Abdel Aziz. The work achieved a large viewership at the time of its release.
