Cairo 24 learned, from its sources, about the issuance of an expected decision to appoint Dr. Alaa Abdel Hafeez Mohamed Mohamed Abdel Gawad as Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Assiut University.
Dr. Alaa Abdel Hafeez Mohamed Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce at Assiut University, has held his position since June 4, 2022, and has extensive academic and administrative experience within the college.
Who is Dr. Alaa Abdel Hafeez?
Previously, Abdel Hafeez held a number of leadership positions, including the college’s dean for community service and environmental development since 2020, and the college’s dean for education and student affairs since 2015. He also assumed the presidency of one of the college’s scientific departments in the same year.
On the academic level, he obtained a doctorate in political science from the Faculty of Commerce at Assiut University in 2006. He also obtained another doctorate in philosophy in political science from Cairo University in 2009, with a fellowship from the Ford Foundation.
