The Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in Fayoum Governorate, in coordination with the concerned authorities, launched intensive inspection campaigns under the supervision of Engineer Jumah Abdel Hafeez, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply, and Ms. Abeer Al-Aqbi, Undersecretary of the Directorate.

He explained Engineer Abdul Hafeez collected that the campaigns resulted in the seizure of a juice production factory operating without a license from the competent authorities, and an address written on the packages in Sadat City – Seventh Industrial Zone, where reservations were made:
576 bottles of mango flavored juice.
444 bottles of guava flavored juice.
100 empty bottles prepared for filling.
150 packing caps.
100 stickers with the indicated address information written on them.
The campaigns also managed to seize 160 packages of expired chicken paneer, in addition to 8 kilograms of wings and kofta that were not fit for human consumption in a supermarket before they were sold to citizens.
In a related context, 275 liters of expired soft drinks were seized in a grocery store, in addition to a misdemeanor report for collecting two cartons of subsidized local flour intended for bakeries with the aim of selling it on the black market.
The campaigns also included the liberation of:
3 reports for not holding health certificates for workers in the food field.
4 records proving the closure of grocery stores during official working hours.
7 minutes for not announcing prices for various commercial activities.
Minutes of closing a subsidized grocery store during working hours.
3 slaughter minutes outside government slaughterhouses, with a total of 5 kilograms of fresh local meat.
55 reports were also filed against a number of bakeries, including misuse of flour, lack of weight, non-compliance with specifications, lack of a sensitive scale or operating list, and poor cleanliness of dough tools.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply confirmed the continuation of monitoring campaigns on tourist bakeries, fava beans and falafel restaurants, supermarkets, subsidized flour warehouses, gas warehouses and agencies, and gas stations, to ensure compliance with official prices and prevent manipulation or monopoly, in addition to visiting butcher shops, markets, and grocery stores, especially fruit and vegetable markets, to control prices and protect citizens.
