Within the framework of implementing the directives of Major General Muhammad Alwan, Governor AssiutThe Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade in Assiut launched a large ration campaign, in cooperation with the Egyptian Medicines Authority in Assiut, to control markets and tighten control over the circulation of medicines.

An unlicensed drug store was seized in the East Assiut neighborhood

The campaign was led by Engineer Khaled Mohamed Ahmed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Assiut, with the participation of Dr. Randa Refaat, Director of Inspection at the Egyptian Medicines Authority in Assiut. The efforts resulted in the seizure of an unlicensed drug store in the East Assiut neighborhood, and the seizure of large quantities of medicines stored in violation of the law.

All necessary legal measures have been taken regarding the incident, and it is being presented to the Public Prosecution to initiate investigations.

The campaign included Ahmed Khalaf Tawfiq, Director of Sharq Supply, Bahaa El-Din Dahabi, Judicial Control Officer in the Directorate, and Dr. Mina Hani Fathi, Director of Inspection at the Egyptian Medicine Authority in Assiut, along with a number of Authority inspectors.

The Supply Directorate in Assiut confirmed the continuation of intensive monitoring campaigns to address any violations that affect the health of citizens or harm the pharmaceutical system.
