Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a telephone call with President Faustin Archange Touadera, President of the Central African Republic.

The official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic stated that Mr. President congratulated President Touadera on the occasion of his re-election for a third presidential term, praising the success achieved by Central Africa in organizing the presidential, parliamentary and municipal elections simultaneously.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesman, explained that the call dealt with the prospects for developing bilateral relations between the two countries, as Mr. President affirmed Egypt’s full support for efforts to achieve stability and development in Central Africa, with readiness to provide various forms of technical support in priority areas. For his part, President Touadera expressed his deep appreciation for Mr. President’s congratulations, stressing his country’s keenness to enhance cooperation with Egypt and benefit from its expertise in the economic and security fields, praising the active Egyptian role and constant keenness to support stability and development on the African continent.
