Academy is held Al-Azhar International scientific symposium entitled: Controls of Interpretation in Light of the Secrets of Revelation, next Wednesday, in the Al-Azhar Conference Hall, under the generous guidance of the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Al-Duwaini, Undersecretary of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif.
Al-Azhar International Academy organizes a scientific symposium entitled Controls of Interpretation in Light of the Secrets of Revelation
Dr. Hassan Al-Saghir, President of the Academy, stated that this symposium comes as an extension of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif’s interest in deepening scientific awareness and controlling methods for dealing with legal texts, noting that the main goal of the symposium is to clarify the correct methodological rules in interpretation, and how to benefit from the secrets of revelation to control understanding and reasoning.
Participating in the symposium are:
• Dr. Abdel Fattah Abdel Ghani Al-Awari, Professor of Interpretation and Qur’anic Sciences, and former Dean of the Faculty of Fundamentals of Religion in Cairo – Al-Azhar University.
• Dr. Sami Abdel Fattah Hilal, Professor of Interpretation and Qur’anic Sciences, and former Dean of the College of the Holy Qur’an and its Sciences – Al-Azhar University.
During the symposium, scholars will address the most important problems related to interpretation, the methodological controls governing it, and how to distinguish between disciplined interpretation and interpretation based on whims, in addition to explaining the impact of these controls on understanding the Qur’anic text and its contemporary applications.
The symposium comes within a series of monthly symposiums organized by Al-Azhar International Academy in support of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif’s mission to spread the approach of moderation and improve the skills of imams and researchers in dealing with contemporary issues in light of the purposes of Islamic law.
