Samir Kammouna, the former Al-Ahly and Egyptian football star, stressed that the controversy surrounding the referees’ affiliations should not be the focus of the conversation, stressing that the international referee is evaluated based on his performance on the field only.
Samir Kammouna said during his presence as a guest on the “Derby Night” program presented by the Kuwaiti journalist Abdulaziz Attiya on Al-Shams 2 channel, that he does not know whether the referee, Amin Omar, belongs to Al-Ahly club or not, but in the end he is an international referee, and must be dealt with accordingly.
He added: “What is the problem with Amin Omar Ahlawy? These matters should not be used to question the integrity of refereeing, as long as the referee manages matches fairly and in accordance with the law.”
Kammouna stressed that Al-Ahly Club does not need any arbitration courtesies in order to achieve championships, and the team has the capabilities and experience that qualifies it to win naturally without relying on any external factors.
