In an exclusive interview with Sada El Balad website, writer and screenwriter Ahmed Murad revealed new details related to his anticipated film, “The Woman,” starring actress Mona Zaki.
Murad stressed that the film deals with the biography of the Star of the East, Umm Kulthum, from an unconventional angle, explaining that the work does not merely provide a historical narrative, but rather adopts a new dramatic vision that sheds light on the human and artistic aspects of the life of the legend who continues to inspire successive generations.
He stressed that the work team is making a great effort to produce the film in a way that befits the value of Umm Kulthum and the stardom of Mona Zaki.
The film “The Woman” is considered one of the most anticipated cinematic projects, especially since it combines the pen of Ahmed Murad with a star the size of Mona Zaki, in addition to the different treatment of an immortal Arab musical figure such as Umm Kulthum.
