Ahmed Abdel Raouf, the technical director of the first football team at Zamalek Club, asked the medical staff to prepare a detailed and comprehensive medical report on the latest developments in the health status of the injured team players, led by the duo Nabil Imad Dunga and Ahmed Rabie, in order to determine their final position and the date of their return to group training.
A source within the technical staff revealed that Abdel Raouf is paying great attention to the file of the injured during the current period, in light of the numerical shortage that the team is suffering from in the midfield position, especially after the injuries of Dunga and Ahmed Rabie, in addition to the absence of Mohamed Shehata due to his joining the Egyptian national team camp, which affected the options available to the technical staff.
The source explained that the technical director seeks to know the details of the medical condition of each player individually, and the extent of his physical and technical readiness, in order to determine the appropriate return program without rushing to push them before full recovery, in order to avoid aggravation or recurrence of injuries.
The source added that Abdel Raouf would like to know the possibility of either of the duo playing in the El Mahalla Municipality match in the Egypt Cup Championship, as it is a maximum goal for their return, in light of the great importance of the confrontation and his desire to support the midfield with ready elements. On the other hand, the technical director does not intend to rush the return of the players during the Haras El Hodoud or Smouha matches in the Banker Capital Cup Championship, in a state of readiness.
Zamalek is currently preparing to face Haras El Hodoud, in the second round of the group stage of the Egyptian Capital Cup, which is scheduled to be held next Saturday, after the team tied in the first round against Kahraba Ismailia with a score of three goals for each team.
