For its part, the Ministry of Interior said that, with reference to what was previously reported on news sites, it was possible to identify and arrest the perpetrators of the incident, and legal measures were taken against them.
The details of the incident came back when social media users circulated a video clip showing a number of defendants entering a café where the young man worked in the Qatour Center district, where they beat him using bladed weapons, resulting in his injury.
The victim told Cairo 24 that the incident began with an argument between two people at the beginning of the street, so he intervened to break up the fight, but one of the parties later returned to him, accusing him of causing the other party to flee, and assaulting him with others.
He added that he went to the police department and wrote a report on the incident bearing No. 395 of 2026, Toukh Administrative Office, and the competent authorities were notified, which began the examination and took the necessary legal measures.
