The technical staff of the Ismailia Electricity team, led by Reda Shehata, decided to give the players a three-day rest following the exciting 3-3 draw against Zamalek in the first round of the Egyptian Capital Cup.

The decision to rest to catch the breath came after the great effort made by the players during the match, especially since the team presented a strong performance and succeeded in coming away with an important point against one of the most prominent competitors in the tournament.

Ismailia Electricity is scheduled to resume training immediately after the break, in preparation for facing Al-Ittihad Alexandria in the second round, as the technical staff aspires to prepare the players physically and technically to provide a better performance and achieve a positive result before entering the most difficult stage of the tournament.

The technical staff, led by Reda Shehata, is working to correct the defensive errors that appeared against Zamalek, while developing a special plan to confront Al-Ittihad, in light of the team’s desire to achieve its first victory in the competition and enhance its chances of competing.

Earlier, the match between Zamalek and Kahraba Ismailia, which brought together both teams, ended in the group stage of the Egyptian Capital Cup for the 2025-2026 season, which was held at the Arab Contractors Stadium.

The first football team of Zamalek Club tied against its counterpart, Kahraba Ismailia, with three goals each, in the first round of the Egyptian Capital Cup, after an exciting remontada from the Ismaili team, led by Mohamed Sheika.
