Dr. Khaled, Governor of Qena, called on drivers to exercise the utmost caution while driving, to maintain their cars technically before going out on the road, to follow traffic instructions, and to limit excessive speed, to prevent traffic accidents that may cause serious damage.
Car crash into a lamp post
This came after a collision this morning on the Qena-Qift road involving a double cab car, as a result of its front tire exploding on the left side towards the driver, which led to the car swerving and colliding with one of the electricity poles, and resulting in the pole falling after the lighting wires were tightened on it, without any injuries.
The governor confirmed that the accident occurred in broad daylight and with lighting poles operating very efficiently at night, explaining that the real reason was due to non-compliance with traffic safety factors and poor car maintenance, and not the absence of lighting.
The concerned authorities immediately moved to the site of the accident and took the necessary legal measures, while working to secure the road and repair the damage to ensure the safety of citizens and traffic.
