Alexandria Governorate witnessed a tragic incident, when a person ended his friend’s life due to a financial dispute between them over an amount of 15 pounds. The accused also disposed of the victim’s body by burning his body and burying his skull inside a skylight under construction.

The details of the incident go back to when the security services received a report from a woman and another stating that a vegetable seller had been absent from his home for two days. Upon examination, it was revealed that the informants were the wife and brother of the absent young man while the report was being prepared.
Initial investigations into the incident revealed that after codifying the procedures and tracking the victim’s phone, it was found that it had been turned back on again, and by tracking his whereabouts and asking the person in possession of the phone, he stated that he had bought it from a person and provided information about its whereabouts.
Immediately, the security services moved to the phone seller’s shop and confronted him. He admitted that he had ended the life of the phone owner – his friend – as a result of an argument between them over a financial dispute over the amount of 15 pounds.
The accused also admitted that he hid the body of the vegetable seller – the victim – by burning it until it was charred, and collecting the bones and remains with a sack and burying them inside a skylight under construction, and stole his phone and sold it.
For its part, the security services arrested the accused, and he was taken to the police station. The competent authorities investigated the incident, and legal measures were taken regarding it.
