A new study revealed that eating carrots may help improve sleep quality, cell regeneration, and stimulate digestion.

The benefits of carrots in improving sleep quality

According to Times Now News, including carrots in a balanced diet can indirectly improve sleep quality and work on cell regeneration, as the study found that people who ate more fruits and vegetables during the day slept better at night.

Nutrition expert Remy Goman said: If people want better sleep, the evidence is much stronger on the importance of following healthy dietary patterns in general rather than relying on one specific food:

Meanwhile, some claim that the nutrients in carrots can improve sleep, as carrots contain antioxidant plant compounds called carotenoids, specifically alpha-carotene and beta-carotene, which our bodies convert into vitamin A. People with vitamin A deficiency may suffer from sleep disturbances.

Adding carrots to a balanced diet also contributes to improving sleep, as they are rich in fiber. A 2016 study found a link between high-fiber diets and deep sleep.
